2008 Management Development Programming
MONTANA JAYCEES MILES PROGRAM RULES
1. You need two (2) Chapter members to make a visitation in order to claim the visit for chapter miles. All visitations must be verified with a VISITATION FORM and turned into your chapter MDVP or local Miles Program Manager for submission each trimester. The chapter MDVP or local Miles Program Manager will then submit to the State Miles Program Manager a completed Miles Form and copies of the Visitation Forms for back up. All Miles Forms for the chapter are to be postmarked the same date as parade deadlines.
2. Round trip miles will be allowed for farthest chapter visited each day. One way mileage will be allowed for any chapter within the same day.
3. If more than one function is held by a chapter, one (1) round trip visitation will be allowed for attending the first function and one (1) round trip visitation will be accepted for the second function. There will be no allowance for the third subsequent function with the same chapter.
4. Miles must actually be computed as traveled from your home chapter or place of current residence, which ever is closer to the destination chapter.
5. State officers (elected and appointed), Regional Directors and District Directors DO NOT COUNT FOR CHAPTER MILES. However, they may submit their individual miles traveled to their home chapter MDVP or Local Miles Program Manager who then will submit the miles to the State Program Manager.
6. Program Managers are not State Officers and therefore they are eligible for chapter miles.
7. The Montana State Highway Map, newest issue, will be used as the official mileage indicated for computation. The shortest route available will be used.
8. When traveling out of state, you are allowed mileage to the most logical route of the state line and then 200 miles each way out of state. This is regardless of how far away you are traveling.
9. Awards to recognize the amount of miles traveled throughout the year will be presented for each trimester and year end. We will recognize the miles of individuals, chapters, and state officers.
10.At year end, the Lee Kronebusch Jaycee Mile Award will be presented to an individual that traveled in access of 12,000 miles.
